How to Check Last Night's Backup Status (Novell)

• In the morning, when you get to the office, is the best time to check.
• On your server's keyboard press and hold "CTRL" then press "ESC". You will see a menu with numbered options. Select the number that corresponds to the "Backup Exec" option. Press "Enter".
• On the screen choose the "Administration" menu.
• From the "Administration" menu choose "Job History".
• If today's date is at the top and to the right it reports "Normal" or "Successful" then the backup joy completed successfully.
• If in the upper right-hand of the screen it says "Alert" in red letters, then call our office for assistance.
• This is to be done everyday if you are not getting a paper printout. If you get a printout everyday, look on the printout for the job completion status. If you are not getting a printout, then call our office immediately.
