How to Test A Battery Backup (UPS)

• Make sure that you do not have any open applications on your computer.
• Unplug the power to the Battery Backup, from the power outlet. You will hear a beeping sound, it is a warning you will hear whenever power has been disconnected.
• If your computer is still running, your Battery Backup works.
• Plug the power cord back into the power outlet, to restore power to your Battery Backup.
• Repeat this procedure at least once every 2 months for all workstations.
